Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Scryleh ("we", "our", or "the Game") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Scryleh collects the following data to provide competitive leaderboard features and energy restoration:

• Device Identifier: Your device's unique identifier (iOS identifierForVendor or a generated UUID on other platforms). Used to link your leaderboard profile to your device.
• Display Name: An auto-generated pseudonym (e.g., "The Silent Archivist 742"). This is not your real name and is publicly visible on leaderboards.
• Gameplay Statistics: When you participate in weekly competitive events, we collect scores, character selection, deck composition, relics collected, run duration, and related gameplay metrics.
• Purchase Records: If you make in-app purchases, we record the product ID, energy amount, and timestamp to enable energy restoration after data deletion.
• Game Save Data: Your game progress, deck configurations, and settings are stored locally on your device and optionally synced via Apple iCloud.

How We Use Your Data

• Provide competitive leaderboard and ranking features
• Calculate and distribute weekly event rewards
• Enable energy restoration after account deletion (purchase verification)
• Improve game balance using aggregate, anonymized gameplay data

Data Storage & Third-Party Services

• Supabase Inc. (cloud database) — stores player profiles, leaderboard scores, event rewards, and purchase records. Data stored on US-region servers. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Apple iCloud Key-Value Storage — syncs energy balance, reward claims, and badge unlocks across your devices. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Local Storage — game saves, settings, and cached data stored on your device only.

In-App Purchases

• Scryleh offers optional consumable purchases (energy/attempts) for competitive events.
• Purchase records are stored server-side to enable energy restoration if you delete your data.
• All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. For refunds, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time via Settings > Account > Delete All My Data.

Deletion permanently removes:

• Your player profile and display name
• All leaderboard scores and rankings
• Event rewards and badges
• Local game saves and settings
• iCloud synced data

Deletion preserves:

• Purchase transaction records (retained for 7 years for tax compliance)
• Archived leaderboard entries are anonymized ("Deleted Player")

Any unspent purchased energy is automatically restored after deletion so you don't lose what you paid for.

Data Export

You can export all your data via Settings > Account > Export My Data. This provides a JSON file containing your player profile, scores, rewards, and purchase history.

Data Retention

• Active leaderboard data: Duration of weekly event, then archived
• Archived scores: Retained indefinitely; anonymized on player deletion
• Purchase records: 7 years (tax compliance)
• Local data: Until app deletion or user-initiated deletion

Children's Privacy

Scryleh does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game is rated for users 12+ due to thematic content.

Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to:

• Delete your data via the in-app feature or by emailing us
• Access your data via the in-app export feature or by emailing us
• Object to processing by deleting your data

We do not sell your personal information. Our lawful basis for processing is legitimate interest (providing competitive features you opted into).

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
